Pose Setup: Position your subject seated on the edge of a table or bench, torso turned slightly to one side, with the face in profile. Let one hand hover open near the waist while the other arm cradles the glove around the body, keep the ball floating above the gap between them and your light side. Frame from waist-up to include the bench edge as a strong foreground line and keep the background dark so the ball and face catch the eye. What To Say: "Give me the feeling of a moment right before action. Imagine you've just finished a play and you're choosing your next move." Keep the eyes locked past the ball, calm but intensely aware. Optional Variation: Drop the chin a touch and angle the open hand a little closer to the camera to make the expression more commanding.
